Student Instructor Evaluations

Student email from ANT 102, Fall 2025

Good afternoon, Professor Brazelton

I hope all is well. I wanted to thank you for such a great semester. I really appreciated how you always had so much energy and intention when interacting with us this semester even though our course was online. You made sure we had ample material that covered each module, the material was clear and engaging, and genuinely interesting and enjoyable. I really appreciated that we had material to read but also recorded lectures and videos to watch. As someone who spends a lot of time on the road - driving 1.5 hours to Tuscaloosa from where I live in Cullman for my in-person classes twice a week, driving 30 minutes to work every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and all of the driving that I do for my job on an ambulance - having the recorded lectures really made a difference for me. I didn't feel like I was struggling to get in all the information like I do with some classes where all the material is just reading. I also genuinely enjoyed your discussions (I know, it sounds bogus for a student to say, but I did!) because each module questions were genuinely interesting and not just something where the answer is a copy/paste from the textbook. They required a little bit of thought and consideration, and I always learned something new each week. The other students in the class also made the  discussions enjoyable, I liked reading different perspectives.

I just wanted to let you know that your effort never went unnoticed, and I think you did a great job with this class. I'm sure taking one of your in-person classes would be a treat! Also, thank you for your reminders each week! There were more than two or three times that I got busy with other classes/work and it slipped my mind but your reminders saved my grade!

Happy Holidays to you and your family! I hope you enjoy your break!
